Manifesting His glories; Contending with forces that will not want you to manifest God’s glory.

Glory 4

HOW?

  1. Engage in spiritual Warfare against gates that might want to lock your glory out of your life.

We need to contend through the power of the spirit against every force that will not want our glory to be revealed. It is not a physical affair! It is a battle in the realm of the spirit through fasting and prayers.

2Co:10:3: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

2Co:10:4: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

2Co:10:5: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2Co:10:6: And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Psalms:24:7: Lift up your head, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Psalms:24:9: Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Fasting prayers and everything that will keep us in his presence are the weapons.

  1. Endure affliction (the place of waiting) – waiting is not wasting, it is preparing you for glories ahead.

2Co:4:17: For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

1Pe:5:10: But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

If we break our waiting or get tired of it. It is dangerous because each time we come   back we would need to start afresh.

  1. Be born again- A carnal mind might not be able to wait or contend because he lacks the spiritual strength to do so. Salvation will not only help to reveal your glory but will also give you the strength to wait , contend and get into your glory. Salvation ushers in the King of glory because his death on the cross seals us unto glory!

Psalms:24:9: Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

1Co:2:7: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

1Co:2:8: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1Co:2:9: But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

1Co:2:10: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Please note that Christ is the wisdom of God with him in your life, you are ordained for glory! 1Co:1:24: But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Prayer- Lord help me to manifest your glory.

Take a decision to follow Christ from today and your life will be full of his glory.

Manifesting His glories – ‘Attracting God’s glory’

Glory 5

Today we shall be looking at how we can connect with God for full manifestation of his glories. The covenant practices below ensure his abiding presence (glory in our lives);

  1. Fasting & prayers
  • Fasting and prayers generates a high intensity of glory upon our lives

How?

  • Fasting and prayer reduces the flesh and increases the spirit.
  • The spirit is closer to God than the soul and body, the closer you are to God, the more of his light you reflect and consequently the greater the level of his glory you generate.
  • This glory attracts favor – Nehemiah, Esther

Ne:1:3: And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

Ne:1:4: And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

Ne:2:4: Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven.

Ne:2:5: And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers’ sepulchres, that I may build it.

Worship: Worship brings God into his house, and wherever God goes his glories follows. We are his terbanacle, a daily life of worship guarantees his abiding presence and consequently his abiding glory.

2Ch:5:13: It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;

2Ch:5:14: So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

Study, hearing & doing of the Word: In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The more of the word you have, the more of God you have in your life which translates to more of his presence and more of his glory.

Joh:1:14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

2Co:3:18: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass( the mirror of his word) the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Jas:1:23: For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

Holiness –

  • The purposefulness of Daniel not to defile himself with the portion of king’s meal.
  • The resolve of Joseph not sleep with Potiphar’s wife

Devil also sees the glory of man ahead of him and always makes effort to truncate it; our resolve to call the devil’s beckoning to sin bluff reinforces God’s presence and glory in our lives.

  • Devil failed concerning Daniel & Joseph

Da:6:3: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

Da:6:28: So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

Gen:45:13: And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither

  • He succeeded in the case of Samson & Solomon and they were robbed of their glory.
  • Devil must not succeed in your own case.

Prayer- Lord help me to manifest your glory

Take a decision to follow Christ as from today and your life will be full of his glory.

Manifesting His glory

glory 6

February was the month of empowerment. I am sure we have all been empowered to do exploits in all realms. Visible evidence will show in our lives in Jesus name.

I welcome all to march, the month glory, starting from this month, we shall all manifest his glory in Jesus name.

Gen:45:13: And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither-Anchor Verse.

Today we shall look at the following two subheadings

  1. Everyone is born with God’s glory He’s meant to manifest. God did not create anyone as a nonentity; a certain level of magnificence is created with everyone which might vary in expression, manifestation and impact depending on God’s plan and purpose for every individual.

Joseph, Job, Paul Jesus Christ and Psalmist to mention but a few talked about the glory.

In Gen:45:13, Joseph talked about his glory in Egypt; And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither

David did same in Psalms:108:1: O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

Jesus Christ mentioned his own in John:17:24: Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Paul in 1Co:9:15 said But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void- He is manifesting God’s glory.

Friend there is a glory you are born to manifest!

  1. God does not share his glory with anyone; we only reflect/manifest the one he causes to rise upon us, therefore no man takes credit of the glory he is manifesting and without God in our lives, it is difficult if not impossible to manifest( or flash) any glory.

Isa:60:1: Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Isa:43:5: Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

Isa:43:6: I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

Isa:43:7: Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

We are able to manifest his glory because we are his children just as a prince manifests the glory of a king. The bible says ‘ye are gods’.

Psalms:82:6: I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Isa:41:23: Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

For you to manifest his glory, the king of glory must come into your life

Col:1:27: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Why don’t you allow the king of glory to come into your lives today and begin to manifest his glory!

Solomon & Beatrice Akinleye

If you have taken the decision to give your life to Christ please call +234-817-0511-946 for further counseling.

Prayer- God please make me manifest the glory I was born to manifest.

Divine Empowerment-Sustaining the Flow!

empower 2

Sustaining and retaining any gift or what we acquired is more cumbersome or tasking than acquiring them. The reason is not farfetched; it is much easier to pull down than to build.

To enjoy continuous flow of power there are some covenant practice we must follow, this is necessary because GOD WILL not release his power to fools or those that will misuse it. The practice will also ensure full connection with the source of power.

These are what we must do/ensure;

  1. Purity: Purity and power goes hand in hand: In the study of electrical power, Power flows better in a pure conductor than in an impure one or insulator.
  • That is why the spirit of holiness (Holy Spirit) is necessary even before the beginning of flow of power in a Christian.

Act:1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

  • Mary was able to conceive the power of God (Christ) because she was a virgin; virginity connotes holiness.

M’t:1:20: But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Prayer & Fasting: Waiting on the Lord. ‘Fasting weakens the flesh and strengthens the spirit. The Bible makes us to understand that God is spirit and they that worship him must do so in spirit and truth.

Isa:40:28: Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

Isa:40:29: He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Isa:40:30: Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Isa:40:31: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Operating in the spirit increases power to a level that can deal with any nagging situation in our lives, fasting enhances this.

Isa:58:6: Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

M’t:17:20: And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

M’t:17:21: Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

  1. Study of the word. The study, faith, understanding and the confession of the word engenders power:

Ec:8:4: Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

The power in this word when spoken has capacity to create or destroy.

Ge:1:3: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Joh:1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh:1:2: The same was in the beginning with God.

Joh:1:3: All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

Power is good but to maintain the flow and not lose it we need to develop the spiritual attitude above.

Welcome to March- the Month of Glory.

The need for Power II

empower 7

That we need power is not what we can overstate. Powerless Christians do not carry weight in the kingdom.(Gifting without power cannot make impact or go far – singing, teaching, pastors etc.…) We shall continue with why we need power;

  1. Power is needed to declare his name/greatness/his love/his terribleness; It is by God’s power that Israelites were taken out of Egypt, likewise God’s power is needed to deliver from any oppressive or obsessive  force operating in your life. The power is also required to declare his love by witnessing Christ unto all!

Rom:9:17: For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

Act:1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

  1. Divine power is required to subdue other powers that be. There are many other powers that the devil uses to harass an un-empowered or disempowered Christian, the divine power of God is needed to overpower or subdue them.God brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt where they are being oppressed by the power of Pharaoh through his own mighty power.

De:9:29: Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm. Ge:31:29: It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.

  1. Power is needed to get wealth and other good things available in Christ (redemptive power). Many people deploy fetish power to get wealth but silver and gold belong to our God whoever submits to him has the power to get them. De:8:18: But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.   Eph: 3:20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

The source of this power is God, give your life to Jesus Christ and get it through the infilling of the Holy spirit Acts 1:8.

Divine empowerment: The need for Power.

empower 2

The month has been declared by God as the month of empowerment for us. Last week we considered the fact that God is the source of Divine Power and that we need to know him and be filled with the Holy Spirit to get the power. Our prayer this month is that God will make us carrier of his power in Jesus name.

Today we shall be looking at why we need power. Power is required to serve God , stand for God and continue in faith:

There are many things many of us would have loved to do more for God and in God, but because of our human limitation we are unable: service, punctuality, evangelism, prayer, fasting, keep vigil, study..etc

Case study: Life of Peter and other disciples without power and with power

  1. Without power Peter denied Christ: Joh:18:15:

John:18:17: Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man’s disciples? He saith, I am not.

Jonh:18:25: And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.

John:18:26: One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?

John:18:27: Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.

Without Power the disciples could not watch and pray with Christ in Gethsemane.

The power to pray is given by the Holy Spirit, the bible says we do not know how to pray as we ought but the spirit of God helps our infirmities (Romans 8:26)

M’t:26:40: And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

M’t:26:41: Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

M’t:26:42: He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

M’t:26:43: And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

  1. When there was no power, Peter returned to Fishing yet he could not do anything/much. The power we need to move on in faith is supplied by God himself through the Holy Spirit.

John 21: 2-3, 6

John:21:2: There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

John:21:3: Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

Their thought would have been what are they waiting for when their source of inspiration/power has gone?,  but when Christ came into the scene (the Power himself), they became empowered to catch a net breaking fish.

John:21:6: And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

Lack of Power more often leads to leaving purpose for the ‘supposed’. You settle for what you can do which may not be productive or less productive instead of what God can help you to do through his power. Peter and other disciples ought to be fishers of men but they settled for fishing after the master had left.

At Pentecost the power was released through the comforter which Christ himself promised then the power to serve and witness came!

Ac:2:2: And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.                                                                                                                              Ac:2:3: And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. Ac:2:4: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Ac:2:14: But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:-Boldness came. After this experience Peter did a lot of exploits for the Lord.

Prayer Points

My God, fill me with your Holy spirit in Jesus name.                                                                                            My God, empower me for exploits in all area of my life in Jesus name.

Divine Empowerment-The Source is God!

empower 7

We thank God for bringing us into the month of February and we appreciate him for what he has done in our lives in the month of January, The spirit of excellence will not depart from our lives in Jesus name. This month we shall be believing God for Divine Empowerment. In any realm – Physical, Spiritual, career, academic, financial, business etc, we need divine power to make things happen as our physical power and might cannot get us anywhere. God himself will empower us in Jesus name.

We shall be looking at today’s message under 3 headings

  1. The Source of Divine Power is God

Ex:9:16: And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

Ex:15:6: Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

M’t:6:13: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

  1. To taste of this power, it is important we know God through His Christ

Da:11:32: And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Ph’p:3:10: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

1Co:1:24: But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Romans 1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

  1. We tap into Divine Power through the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

The power to conceive Christ (the power of God himself) was made available through the Holy Spirit: Lu:1:35: And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

1Co:1:24: But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Ro:1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Christ reiterated (emphasized the same process) in Acts1:6-8 when the question as to when the kingdom will be restored to Israel was raised.

Ac:1:6: When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

Ac:1:7: And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Ac:1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Close:

Accept Christ today, partake of the infilling of the Holy Spirit and be loaded with power.

Prayers:

My God empower me to do exploit in all areas of my life in Jesus name!

Grace for Excellence

Grace for Excellence.jpg 2
Grace is free but not irrationally so as many presume. After all, Christ paid for it. We all have a part to play as in the following scriptures; Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Appropriation of grace for life of excellence starts with identification with Christ and it is sustained through life of Purity. Proverbs 22:11; He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.
Having given our life to Christ by his grace, the scripture above stresses the fact that continuous life of purity will help us to excel by his grace.
As we live for Christ this year may we be endowed with the GRACE to excel through his mercy and favor in Jesus name.

We cannot continue in SIN and expect the grace to abound, give your life to Christ today and continue to live by his grace!
